Best Plus Size Belly Band in 2025 | The Ultimate Plus Size Maternity Support Guide
Pregnancy looks different for everyone, and when you’re plus-size, finding supportive maternity gear that actually fits your body can be a challenge. Belly bands and maternity support belts can make a big difference — not just for comfort, but for confidence, posture, and how your clothes fit as your bump grows.
When I was pregnant with my son (who’s now four!), I didn’t use a belly band during my first pregnancy — I didn’t feel like I needed it. But during my second pregnancy, everything changed. I felt more pressure, more back discomfort, and needed support in a way I hadn’t before. That’s when I discovered just how helpful a well-fitting belly band could be.
The key?

This maternity belt is a real lifesaver for expectant moms like us. It’s amazing how it eases those tough hip, pelvic, and back pains that come with pregnancy. What I love about it is its adjustability – it grows with your belly, so you’re comfortable every step of the way. It’s not just about support, though; it’s great for improving posture and taking some of that strain off your back, especially when your bump gets bigger. Plus, it’s super comfortable and breathable, which is a huge relief when dealing with all those common pregnancy discomforts.
What other moms are saying . . .
I wish I would have purchased this sooner. I was about 36 wks when I bought this. I was trying to just tough it out since I only had 4 wks left. I had major pelvic and hip pain to the point that it hurt to walk or even sit at times. This band did help. It didnt take all the pain away, but it gave me enough support that I was able to go on longer walks again. It was not very comfortable to sit in, and if I sat I would have to re-adjust it. I have a standing desk at work, so I only put this on if I was going to be standing for a long period or going for a walk etc. I am 5’5 and was about 280 when I purchased. The 3x was possibly a little big on me, but this is 3 parts and it is adjustable. Overall I am glad I went with the 3xl.

I’ve been using the AZMED maternity belt and I absolutely love it! It’s been a game-changer for me, gently supporting my abdomen during and after my pregnancy. It’s fantastic for correcting posture and helping with abdominal muscles. The support it offers for the lower back is incredible. It helps distribute the baby’s weight evenly, reducing spinal pressure and keeping back strain at bay. I’ve actually used this nursing tank top and it’s cool if you like to this kinda material. It comes with a built-in, molded, double-layer cotton nursing bra, which is great for support. The easy one-hand nursing clasps have been a real lifesaver for me, making breastfeeding much more convenient.
The tank features a flattering empire waistline, which I’ve found to be a stylish touch. The built-in shelf bra is a major plus, with nursing clips and drop-down cups that simplify breastfeeding or pumping. It’s got removable padding and adjustable shoulder straps, ensuring comfort throughout the day and night.
Wearing this tank with nursing pads has been a great combination for added relief. It’s versatile in style too – I’ve paired it with leggings, yoga pants, and jeans, and it always looks good. What other moms are saying . . .
I am tall with a long torso, so I was delighted that these are ling enough for me. I am not sure why, but I find the concept of dressing for nursing extremely difficult. I want something that I don’t have to fuss around with, but is comfortable and nice enough that I can wear it in public. I would not call these flattering, especially as they are snug and highlight all of the baby weight, but I usually will pair them with a flowy sweater- both hides my tummy a bit and offers a little privacy during feeds. Overall, these tops have made nursing a lot easier for me. Side note- they come with absolutely ridiculous bra pads that are jumbo. I assume they are meant to hide nipples from poking out, they they are so huge that they make it look weird. I ripped all of mine out and threw them in the trash. They fit much better now.
